Christmas Party 2009

What a wonderful time was had by all the children who managed, despite the snow, to get into school on the last day of the term. We had a visit from Father Christmas and an exciting party with lovely food.

Summer Fete 2009

Our Summer Fete, in June, was a great success. We enjoyed a hog roast and many stalls including reptiles, bucking broncho, tee shirt printing and many more. The children performed some country dancing routines and rhythmic gymnastics. There was also a parade of insect masks created by the children. A fantastic day for all the family which raised a significant sum of money towards our current projects.

Sywell Primary School Play Area Launch

Our new outdoor, all-weather play area has been officially opened, with a ribbon- and cake-cutting ceremony on Wednesday 29^th April.  The celebrations were attended by many of the children and parents, staff, Governors and FOSS members who have contributed to the fundraising over recent years to make it all possible.

We also took the opportunity to hold a raffle to start fundraising for Phase 2!  A Virgin hot air balloon ride was won by Class 2 teacher Mrs Shortland.
